Blog 14: Internet is GOOD!!! not EVIL!!!
Blog 13: The Tatay I Never Knew
I guess the most traumatic event that I experienced was the death of my Tatay (grandfather). This sad occurrence was very harrowing to both my family and me. I never really knew him, since he was in the province it was harder to get to him than my other grandfather was. So getting to know him would require alot of effort; I would go, but there was the financial aspect. Another was the sight of him suffering his sickness, so I would not rather see him. That is also another reason why I did not get to know him because it was his ailment taking up most of his time, when we had the opportunity to visit. The most traumatic site was the site of my mom mourning to his death. Of all the things, seeing my mom cry was my breaking point. If I had another chance of seeing him, again I would seize the opportunity just to know the great man he is.

Blog 12: European Escapade With the Paduas
With me having the perfect wife and an ample supply of money, it is time to have the ultimate European vacation. To enjoy this vacation in its full potential, it will be first class all the way, I worked hard for the money so me, my family, and friends deserve it. My dream vacation of course needs complete privacy, so I hired a team of “bouncers” to protect my family and me and friends, so complete enjoyment will be attained. To start the European escapade, we have to get there of course, so after over an eighteen-hour flight we arrived. Our first stop in Europe was Italy, we saw the Leaning tower of Pisa, rode the Gondola in Venice, and of course ate pizza. As we headed to Amsterdam, some of us were briefed of what is allowed there to what is not in the Philippines such as hah brownies and marijuana. Hence, we arrived in Amsterdam. We made sure that the kids were always in our sight, we would not want them to see the infamous red light district would we. We saw the windmills, and of course, the “normal” sights of people smoking crack and getting high and drunk. The last part of our European escape was of course Paris. Paris being my wife’s favourite place and me to be bought a chateau a few years back so every time we visit, there is no hassle in checking in a hotel. We tour our family in the different sights, and restaurants. Alas, those three weeks in Europe was amazing being with people you cherish in your heart really makes the vacation worth wile.
Blog 11: My Wife is Better Than Yours
Okay, so we guys always dreamed of our perfect wife either it is our own version of Megan Fox or Sienna Miller, but my wife is her very own. Her hair, which no one could ever imitate, but if other girls did ever imitate her hair they would look like crap because they could not handle it not like my wife from the hair color, length, and cut. The way her hair shines when the sun hits it with its rays, it seems like she is a goddess and the sun is one of her worshipers. Her eyes is one of her best features, from the shape of her eyes to the color is just sheer perfection. When I stare at her eyes it seems that I am enthralled and more in love. Well, being a guy her body is somewhat necessary. She is no Megan or Sienna, but it is just perfect in my perspective the way her curves are nicely contoured and in my opinion, she is much better and hotter than those two actors are. The way she walks is another trait. The way she walks is just captivating, it seems that when she walks in a public place, it is impossible for you not to stare. She is also a head turner. The way she dresses is one thing that caught my attention. Other girls who decide “skin is in” in the world of fashion, her aspect in clothing is the way it flatters you but it still shows sexiness in a classy way. However, the one thing that made me feel so in love with her is her character. The way she says, “I love you” is just heart melting, and the way we talk you could really see the sincerity in her voice that makes it seem that we are the only people in the world and could talk about anything for hours without getting bored or tired. She maybe no Sienna or Megan, but she is the best friend, girlfriend, fiancĂ©e, wife I will have in any lifetime.
Blog 10: From Shouts to Skype
| Before | After |
| Ways of talking were limited only to personal contact or screaming | Talking is possible now through web chatting, talking on the phone |
| Mails were sent via telegrams or the pony express | Mails are now electronic “email” or through texts |
| Advertisements were through message boys | Advertisements are now advertised in the television |
Communicating has sure evolved through the years compared to our parents old times to our electronic age, their lives seemed so boring, simple, and so past tense. The aspect is still the same, but the only difference is the way of communicating. One way is the way of talking. in the “old times” people used to communicate when they see each other personally, or my favourite scream at the person on the other side; now, we can talk to people almost half way around the world if we wanted to by means of mobile phones and web cam chatting. The way we send mails is another difference. In the past, mails were sent through telegrams or the ever so popular pony express: which would take days or even weeks to reach its destination. However, in this generation, we do it little more different and a whole lot faster, we send our mails through the internet that could get to its receiver in mere seconds texting is also another mean of sending messages. Ads were big then and now, in the past advertisements were done through spreading of word, such as the messenger boys. Nevertheless, in recent years we developed electronic billboards who could advertise not one, two, or three but more than five ads. Technology has surely made a huge impact in our generation today, but we should always remember that personal communication is always better than though technologically advantages.

Blog 7: A Sad Night in Chicago
Fil‘s pain was excruciatingly sad for many reasons, since his citizenship was granted little did he know that his pain, and longing for his motherland was starting. Fil only had two things to look for in Chicago, the dancers and Tony, for him those two are the only essence that could remind him of the Philippines. If one or both of them disappear, Fil would not know what to do. One was when the dancers came Fil was overjoyed preparing everything for his grand plan of inviting the dancers and touring them around Chicago, but to his utter disappointment the dancers had rejected his warm invitation. To make matters worse, he had deceived himself thinking that the dancer’s parents taught them well for not accepting his invitation. Another reason for his sadness is his state of thinking on the things that do not matter. He is so stuck up in his high horse about the dancers thinking everything would go according to plan. Instead of helping taking care of his friend, Tony and listening to him, he does not care, instead he insists of them on seeing the dancers, as if the dancers were gods and goddesses. Finally, the rationale of his misery was the death of Tony. With the dancers out of the picture, Tony was the only thing that Fil had left to accompany him and reminisce about the good times in the Philippines and in America.
